We Do Many Things – but Certainly Not All of Them

To get things straight from the start: We are not a jack of all trades. And proud of it. For we select the services we will offer you according to two simple criteria: 1. We need to have mastered them completely. 2. They need to make sense for you as our client. Having said this, let us introduce you to the three mainstays of our service portfolio:

Classic Communication

fiveandfriends is a classic communications agency that specialises in the real estate sector. As a lead agency, we focus on taking care of clients at the interface between real estate and finance. Our clients see real estate largely as an investment vehicle, and we align our campaigns accordingly. fiveandfriends speaks the language of the real estate industry, and thus has an easy time addressing the relevant target groups. fiveandfriends develop integrated communication designs, complete corporate designs, cross-media planning, as well as project-related marketing measures and asset marketing drives.

New Media

Another focus of our agency is the world of new media. In this area, fiveandfriends develops complex Internet presentations, interactive online platforms, password-protected user portals, as well as proprietary web applications. For mobile terminal equipment, fiveandfriends develops optimised so-called mobilised Internet content and stand-alone applets. This will enable you to respond flexibly to the ever-changing behaviour of Internet users and to develop new target groups. Naturally, fiveandfriends uses its expertise of many years to optimise your web pages for search engines.

Translation Management

The world of real estate investments is global. Globalisation presupposes a common communication channel between provider and market. The global language of the real estate industry being English. This is the language of fiveandfriends, an agency that delivers any media format in both German and English, where requested.

Yet the translation management of fiveandfriends does not limit itself to translating as such. Rather, it focuses on stylistic localisation, that is, the customising of contents to accommodate the language culture of the target audience. It is a good way to make sure that translated contents do not seem translated, but remain contents.

fiveandfriends uses TRADOS, a database-assisted translation software. For you, our client, this pays off in several ways:

  • Word-by-word Costing
Pinpoint analysis of the source text keeps lines previously translated and saved in the database from being invoiced again in another assignment. This will slash the translation costs of periodically re-translated texts such as statements of account as early as the second time around.
  • Accelerated Translating
The actual translating may start even if the source text is still in the draft stage. Since TRADOS will automatically highlight any change in a given text, last-minute changes are easily accommodated whenever time is of the essence. Which tends to be the case with press releases, for instance.
  • Quality Assurance
TRADOS will return recurrent phrasing, e.g. in corporate boilerplate, as identical matches, making translations verifiably consistent. Client glossaries, too, can be integrated into the client database to ensure terminological consistency.
  • Preservation of Native Formats
In addition to the Office programs, this is particularly relevant for Internet and layout formats. Translations delivered in their native source format imply considerable time savings, for instance in the pre-flight stage of a print run or the programming of web contents.

In addition to proprietary translations, the translation management of fiveandfriends will gladly improve the jobs of other, editing and proofreading external translations of German copy into English or vice versa, so as to streamline it with a view to its intended use.
