REVISIA, a newly developed product, will back any online data on permanent data storage equipment. Data requested by the BaFin German Financial Supervisory Authority can be made available any time.

Any company trading in securities in Germany knows BaFin and their general requirements regarding certain publications. Any data made available online and even the ongoing changes thereof must be kept and stored for a minimum of five years. In a letter to fiveandfriends, BaFin recently confirmed the fact.

So far, however, there used to be no standard system to meet these BaFin requirements, which is why fiveandfriends did the necessary research and came up with a proprietary solution. REVISIA – the underlying principle is simple: REVISIA creates daily website backups. These are then burnt onto permanent data carriers, and may be archived in-house at the respective company. The offline backups can be accessed, browsed and transmitted to the BaFin at any time.
